Description
A sarabande is a dance from the 16th century, and was very
popular in the Spanish colonies before moving back across
the Atlantic to Spain.
This Sarabande was composed by G.F. Händel, as the 4th part
of his Keyboard suite in D minor (HWV 437), for solo keyboard
(harpsichord), between 1703 and 1706. It was used by Stanley
Kubrick in his movie Barry Lyndon.
